I have tried having just fruits and vegetables once in a while and loved the whole experience . We need to take a break from our normal diet which may or may not be balanced and tend to be erratically prepared due to the busy schedule that most of us follow.
It is a good idea to do away with your normal diet once in a while and eat only fruits and vegetables for a day or two if you can manage it .Fruit and vegetable diet is excellent for cleansing one’s system , besides helping us reduce some unwanted weight.If you cannot do it for an entire day , even skipping meals at times to have just vegetables and fruits makes you feel light and good.
But a word of caution - do it step by step esp for those who are prone to have adverse effects when they change their food habits. A fruit and vegetable diet along with milk and some carbohydrates and protein would be ideal .But once in a while having just fruits and vegetables is definitely good for the system .When we have plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water our skin glows and the system feels good and at its best.
Once you do it once , you will want to do it again and again, and it only helps your system and improve your looks.It adds a glow to your skin and hair. Many people are constantly wanting to loose weight, and for them fruit and vegetable diet is ideal .
I have lots of vegetable salads, fruit salads,soups and some yogurt or butter milk when I go on such a diet. Fruits are filling , adding volume , so you dont feel hungry at all.Having a fruit and vegetable diet once a fortnight or once a month is not too bad and it is actually refreshing during summer months to have this diet often…It cools your system .
I have known people who also take some steamed fish and a little steamed rice along with lots of vegetables and fruits and I am sure that this too is an excellent diet that has immense benefit for our system.
One make delicious juice mixing vegetables and fruits along with the peel.It is a good idea to leave the peel on whenever it is possible to do so. tomatoes ,carrots,apples and oranges make a great juice idea and it is very nutritious to have a glass of this juice for breakfast or at any other time of the day on a regular basis. Having only fruits and vegetables for a whole day normally does not affect your bowels. Balanced diet is essential, but when a person is hypertensive or is planning to reduce weight this is a good diet to follow.To make it more intresting one can make a lot of different combinations of smoothies and juices using both fruits and vegetables as I mentioned earlier.
Once you start on this diet the chances are that you will develop a liking for this diet and will continue to have it often thereby benefiting a lot in the way of a trimmer looking you and a glowing skin and hair .
Besides helping one in reducing weight, it also helps in keeping our skin in top condition, so also your digestive system !
